Plot[]
After the mysterious death of an ADA, his widow and mistress form an unlikely partnership to investigate whether foul play was involved.
Synopsis[]
Surprisingly, Burke is shot in the back and the culprit is revealed to be a still alive Todd who comments on the scenario. Todd explains to the stunned Susan that her hitman Vukovich may have been good with a gun, but couldn't drive to save his life. A flashback occurs, and it shows Vukovich had crashed and was held at gunpoint by Todd.
In reality, Todd reveals that the hitman begged for his life by giving up his employers and Todd had to destroy his beloved car and put the hitman in it to make it look like he was dead.
He spent the next few days hiding, as he happily watched Janelle investigate his death. He bitterly notes on watching how his wife lavished in his presumed demise in comparison. Susan asks what happens now, as Todd states they will let the cops figure things out. However, he tells Susan what he was going to tell her in the first place and cuts off the relationship. He kisses Janelle while an angry Susan picks up a gun to shoot them, but Janelle shoots her and insults her for all she did.
